Welcome to the second edition of Cyclogynéco - Miles against gynecologic cancers

Cyclogynéco 2026 is back! Join us from September 7th to September 13th for a week of cycling, not just for the joy of cycling and the personal challenge, but for women’s health.

What is it exactly?

It is the perfect opportunity to bring together friends and family for beautiful bike rides to support the Gynecological Oncology Fund of the CHUM Foundation. The goal is to cover as many kilometers as possible during the week of September 7th to 13th, while raising funds for every distance completed!

We invite participants, their families and friends, and our partners to the challenge’s closing event, which will take place on Sunday, September 13. Together, we will celebrate the completion of the challenge alongside participants, family members, friends, and partners. We will also present the final amount raised to the physicians representing the CHUM Foundation. More information about this event will be shared on Instagram. Follow us @cyclogyneco!

Why donate and/or ride for Cyclogynéco?

Beyond the miles you will pedal, we are creating a massive wave of solidarity to propel gynecological research to new heights.

Gynecological health is a cause that touches us all, directly or indirectly. By registering for this event or contributing with a donation, you become the driving force behind a real and lasting change.

Current statistics remind us of the urgency of this mobilization. Behind every number lies a life story that deserves special attention and adequate resources.

Global impact
In 2022, there were approximately 1.47 million new cases of gynecological cancers (ovarian, cervical, uterine, vulvar, and vaginal) and over 680,000 deaths recorded.

Cervical cancer is the 4th most common cancer in women worldwide. Approximately 660,000 new cases and 350,000 deaths were reported in 2022.

Ovarian cancer accounts for about 325,000 new cases annually worldwide. It is often called a "silent" cancer because it is difficult to detect at an early stage.

In Quebec

While incidence rates for cervical cancer have decreased thanks to screening tests (Pap tests), it remains significant among young women. It is the 3rd most common cancer among women aged 25 to 44 and the 8th most common among women aged 21 to 65.

 Our goal this year :

By reaching our goal of 20 000 $ together, we are collectively investing in the making of clinical solutions that will ensure better care and support for all patients.

By inviting your community to join the movement, you amplify this wave of solidarity and help place women’s health at the top of our priorities, ensuring that the progress made today translates into a better quality of life for tomorrow.

Thank you for taking part in this project!

And thank you for your active participation and generosity in support of the CHUM Foundation!
